Planning to be in San Francisco next weekend? Maybe to look at properties or check out neighborhoods? If so, we want to let you know our neighbor down Valencia Street, The Annunciation Cathedral, is holding a food festival, A Taste of Greece.
Located at 245 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, this long-time community event raises funds for this Greek Orthodox congregation that has been at its current location since 1936. Presently, they are raising capital to finance the rebuilding of their church which was heavily impacted by the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake.
In addition to tasty Greek delicacies, entertainment and merchandise vendors are also featured. The festival runs Friday, September 21st from Noon until 10:00 PM, Saturday, September 22nd from Noon until 10:00 PM and Sunday, September 23rd from Noon until 8:00 PM. So, if you are in town, stop by and enjoy this event which is only one representative of the many diverse cultures that make up our city.
